Privacy Policy

This policy explains exactly what FreeHoroscopeReading.net collects, why, and how to have it removed. It describes what the site actually does — not a generic template.

The short version

• You can get a full reading without giving us your email or creating an account.
• The birth date, time and place you type into the reading tool are used to calculate your chart and are not stored.
• We only keep an email address if you deliberately submit one.
• We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it with advertisers.

Your birth details

When you use the free reading tool, the birth date (and optionally birth time and city) you enter are used to compute your Sun, Moon and Rising signs on our own server. Those birth details are not written to our database.

What we do cache is the finished reading text, stored against a one-way hash of the three sign names (for example Sun Cancer / Moon Sagittarius / Rising Libra) so that the same combination doesn’t have to be generated twice. That cache contains no birth date, no birth time, no location and nothing that identifies you.

If you give us your email

The email box on the reading result is optional. If you submit it, we store:

• your email address;
• the three sign names from the reading you had just generated;
• the city name you typed, if you typed one;
• the page you submitted from, and the date and time you submitted it.

We keep that so we can send you your reading and occasional horoscope emails. It is stored privately in our own site administration and is never published, sold, or passed to advertisers. You can ask us to delete it at any time and we will, without asking why.

Abuse prevention

To stop the free tool being hammered by bots, we count requests per visitor for a few minutes at a time. Your IP address is hashed (converted to an irreversible string) before that counter is stored, and the counter expires automatically. We do not keep readable IP logs for this purpose.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand roughly how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies and collects standard technical information such as approximate location, device and browser, and the pages you view. We do not use it to identify individuals, and analytics is not run for logged-in administrators.

Caching and hosting

The site runs on shared hosting with LiteSpeed page caching, which stores copies of pages to make them load faster. The host keeps standard server access logs, as essentially all web hosts do.

Advertising

We are not currently serving advertising on this site. If that changes, this page will be updated before any ad network is enabled, and we’ll say which network and what it means for cookies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Because we store so little — realistically just an email address and the signs attached to it — those requests are quick to honour. Ask and it’s done.

Children

This site is intended for adults and we don’t knowingly collect information from children.

The readings here are offered for entertainment and self-reflection. They are not predictions, and they are not medical, legal, psychological or financial advice.
